Trailing text / link in the emails...

I read from a post in the News forum that pretty soon the emails coming from free hosting sites will have some sort of x10hosting thing at the end of the email like hotmail... I'm planning on making a somewhat community website and I'm planning on buying only the domain name and host it on x10hosting because I think x10hosting is the best there is when it comes to free website hosting. What bothers me is that if I send emails via the supposed site that I will be making in the future, it would have the x10hosting mark in it and would somehow degrade the professionalism of my supposed site AND the emails that would be coming from it.... Just my opinion though, if you're planning on doing this in the future, please do it only on accounts that seem to have a lot of spam mails sent through them. Don't let the innocent users get mixed up with the bad guys.

If you're looking for professionalism, you're going to have to go with paid hosting eventually anyway. In which case the notices shouldn't bother you.
It would be impossible to apply the link only to the spammers as that would require knowing who the spammers are prior to them doing it.
The other alternative is to use your own mail server, although I believe there have been some reported problems with connecting at the moment.

Hmm as I stated above, I would've just purchased the domain name then I can let x10hosting handle the rest. I'm going to have to start at the bottom of the industry so I should settle for the best and at most, free sources. Once the site has regular users, then comes the consideration of upgrading to paid or premium services......

My concern is the same one I replied with in a different users topic.

Basically, if your mail gets spambinned, which is worse? The fact that it got binned and now your client can't see it, or the fact that they get it but it says Sent from x10hosting at the bottom.

I'll take them receiving it anyday - spambinning is not professional in the slightest.

That the mail is sent to the spam folder. These mails often go unnoticed and deleted after 30 days (How many times do you check your spam folder?)
