Two problems, related or coincidental, I don't know.

Problem 1:

I am experimenting with a new web site on http://www.upy844.x10hosting.com/GAALC/schedule.php and as of Saturday night, it worked. The page reads an RSS feed: http://upy6900.limewebs.com/?feed=rss2 and displays it using a program called schedule.php.

Today, I have been getting this message all morning: The page you are looking for is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later.

I can go directly to http://upy6900.limewebs.com/?feed=rss2 on my browser and see it, so it is not unavailable, exactly.

In the file manager, I can edit schedule.php, so it's around, too.

Php works. I can use it in another program in my site: contact.php.

So what page is temporarily unavailable?

Problem 2:

In trying to figure this out, I noticed that today I cannot FTP anything to my site. I know that I am using the same logonid and password as when it used to work, because it doesn't even work through Dreamweaver which remembers those credentials from one time to the next. I also cannot upload via the file manager.

I am on the chopin server, but there's no recent message about it having any trouble. Does anyone have any idea what could be causing all this?

For the first issue, port 80 has been blocked, so it's more than likely the cause of your problems with the RSS feed.

Is this because I'm not supposed to be doing RSS, or is this a glitch so that RSS will again work when this is fixed?

It's a measurement we had to implement to get rid of server abuse.
We have blocked port 80 outbound to prevent users with the idea that a proxy on free hosting is a good idea from causing troubles on the servers.

Regarding ftp, that should work, server is looking to be in shape. Do you get any error, or is it just failing to connect?

Looks like your issue is sorted from what I can tell. Site is working quickly and the schedule.php page loaded right up.

Oops! I didn't realize this was still open. I should have replied last November. The thing I was experimenting with is now up live on the website of the NFP I was helping out.
