Hello,

For a course i'm following i need to upload wordpress on my x10hosting website.
I need to do this through filezilla.

I have done this en didn't get any error screens in filezilla itself.
But when i go to my website i get the message i need to upload my website(wordpress) into the public_html directory. I checked this already and it seems fine.

Beneath the thread i have attached a screenshot of the current situation in my filezilla.

Maybe i'm overlooking something.

can somebody help me please. It would be much appreciated.

thanks

normally x10 does not provide script support.
other users may offer assistance if they had the same issues.

upload to like public_html/new folder
new folder can be like wp or whatever
then run the installer.

@ctyrd :

Thanks for the help, now its working like it should.

Could you also explain to me what exactly the problem was, and how you have solved this please.

Thanks again and many greetings.

The problem would have been the presence of the default file that held that message, a file called index.html
WordPress does have an index.php
While both are files that would be served automatically when browsing to the domain, the hierarchy on the webserver would have put priority on the index.html and thus this being the one shown by default when no file is specified in the url. Solution would have been removing that index.html, while making sure the index.php remained in in place.

I’m getting Error 404 Not Found On My Domain, I think I mistakenly delete my domain folder in my file manager and it’s not even in trash. How can I get this error resolved.
