Ok, so i bought a domain from godaddy.com.

I set the nameservers to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com at the godaddy panel.

Now how do I tell x10 hosting to not forward my .com domain to the .x10.mx domain but to just open the site, in other words, without redirecting the url.

Can somebody walk me through the steps needed to do this in cPanel? Im new to this.

Thanks, I really appreciate it.

1. Do you want the new domain to be the same content as your site now?

2. Do you want to retain the old .x10.mx domain so that you can access the site via two different domains?

3. Is your site set up via WordPress or similar CMS?

1. Yes, so there is no redirection.

2. I dont see the need to do so.

3. Nope, my site was made using html and css. Not wordpress or any other content management systems.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Ok.
Go to cPanel and delete any email accounts associated with the current domain.

The sign into the Account Management System, https://x10hosting.com/control/login.php , using your Forum credentials (not cPanel).

Top menu, HOSTING , sub menu item, modify domain ... go there

Modify Main Domain section...

UNCHECK: Use an x10Hosting subdomain as my account's main domain

Fill in your new domain name.

Click on Update Main Domain

Done.

Sometimes the system takes awhile (24-48 hrs) to update everything. During that time your new domain should show a pale blue Default Website Page.

Simply put: chiraaglathia.com

The www part will be added by the system.

Problem:
DNS points to x10hosting's nameservers
x10hosting's nameservers say it is on Stoli (his server)
Going to the URL gives the Default Web Site page
JM says it is not attached to his account
JM has no information on the domain at all

Will someone please add this manually, since the system seems to be stuck.

Escalating to a Support Ticket. This will close the thread but you can follow the Support Ticket by clicking on the yellow bar at top OR by signing onto the Account Management System ( https://x10hosting.com/control/login.php ) with you Forum credentials.
