Vox and absolut

What is the difference between Vox and absolute hosting on the free side?

All I know is that a lot of users use absoult and it goes down a lot but not vox, and you have no choice to choose which one you want?

Also are you able to switch if you want?

Absolut and Vox are both free hosting servers. When a user signs up, the server automatically places the account on either Absolut, Vox, or Level. There is no way to choose which server you would like to go on, but in my experience all servers are of a similar stability.
