I am unable to access www.deltabaycapital.com on the front end and also on the backend. I can get to Cpanel, but Wp-admin does not work. If I go directly to the site, I get "cannot download information". I am on the Lotus Server. Can anyone help? Thanks!!

Hi darellbee,

When I try to load your website, I get an HTTP 500 Internal Server Error, meaning that there is some sort of coding error within one of your pages. Please check your .htaccess file and any PHP files you may have to see if there is any code that was inserted improperly. If you need help, please copy and paste your code here, and someone will try to find the error for you.

Error establishing a database connection

This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at mysql-lotus.x10hosting.com. This could mean your host's database server is down.

  • Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
  • Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
  • Are you sure that the database server is running?
If you're unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your host. If you still need help you can always visit the WordPress Support Forums.

Thanks for the response. This is the error I get when i try to go in through wp-admin. I will see if I can get the information from httaccess, but if this is a WordPress error, do you think I can uninstall WordPress and reinstall? The last thing I was working on before everything crashed had something to do with a sign-in form plug-in. I'm almost certain that is part of the problem, but since I can't get back in, I can't disable it.

I can still get access through ftp, so if I replace the index page, uninstall wordpress and start over, would that possibly clear up everything? Again, Thanks!!

first of you should open wp-config.php and make sure the host is set to be 'localhost'.

Replacing index and re-installation would not solve things if there's a server related issue (I haven't seen anything indicating that yet though). It could also be a temporary problem due to the changes/upgrades being made, read more about that here: http://forums.x10hosting.com/news-announcements/110021-latest-news.html

Perfect!! The host was wrong, but has been changed back to "localhost", and I'm back in there. Thanks for getting me to the right place. Talk to you later!!!

Hi darellbee,

Now that you have fixed your problem and require no further assistance from support staff, I am going to close this ticket to mark it as resolved. Feel free to create a new support ticket if you need more help or have any additional questions.
