Website Problem

I uploaded my website files and wanted to test out how it would look, but I ended up with the image below. Is there any way to have the the website start on my html file instead of the directory.

make sure the page you want shown by going to the domain without specifying a file is named index.xxx (index.htm, index.html or index.php are the common ones) as that is what the server would be looking for as default page.

Hi i am having the same problem. My website shows my index file as attached in the pic. I have no idea how to do the above as posted by @Anna . Are therestep by step instructions on how to create the index.html etc and how/where do i do it. Im totally a newbie on creating from scratch. My current website only shows when typed bteo.store/wp instead of bteo.store

@bteox10h There are 2 things you need to do:

1. Change the Document Root of bteo.store . For example if the current Document Root for bteo.store is /public_html then you will need to change it to public_html/wp . This can be done in the Addon Domains section of cPanel.
2. Change the Site URL from http://bteo.store/wp to http://bteo.store . See https://codex.wordpress.org/Changing_The_Site_URL

If you could take a look, bteo.store looks great however, https://bteo.store has its layout wrong.
