Website redirecting to defaultwebpage.cgi

Hi,

I've uploaded an index.html file to my website, but when I goto http://domain/ it redirects to http://domain/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi
But if I go to http://domain/index.html then the website displays.

Is this a DNS problem, and should I just wait for DNS to update?

Hey Jack,

Try Clearing your Browser Cache and see if that fixes the issue. You can also try Flushing your DNS Resolver Cache.

I had the same issue, it lasted 6 hours or so, but it's fine now.

When I first saw it and it stayed up after I had an index page uploaded, I looked it up on the wiki: http://http://x10hosting.com/wiki/Defaultwebpage.cgi .

I think you'll be fine, like leafypiggy said, clear your caches, and if it's still up just wait it out. I did, and it fixed itself.
