Hi, my website was suspended around the time the server issues were occuring.

Now, I can log into my account, whose status is "unsuspended". Yet my website is still suspended. I'm not sure whether the solution is on my end or yours. I also cannot login to cPanel.

Please advise.

The website is http://changcatering.x10hosting.com.

Thank you.

Hi Hellsheep,

Thanks for addressing my issue. I did update my password for the account management panel, and then logged off and logged in again to make sure that it is working.

However, when I click on the "Login to cPanel" button, I get a Login Attempt Failed!
message right away. When I try to enter my username and password again, I get the same issue.

I remember that I would be logged into cPanel automatically once I press that button. Am I wrong? Regardless, I can't get in. Please help/advise. Thanks again! I know how busy you guys are.

Make sure you changed your cPanel password, not the Account Panel and forums password.
I have a tutorial uploaded here: http://tutorials.x10.mx/updatepassword.html

If you need more help, you can re-open this thread using the Administrative button at the top of the first post or create another support thread.

Hi DeadBattery,

The steps I had taken were identical to the ones listed in your the tutorial. I performed them again, with the same result: I can access the account panel and this forum, but cPanel is still inaccessible.

Please let me know what our next step is. Thanks!

Hello,

When you request a password update, they go into a queue to be completed. You should see the status of the password update in your account panel. When you changed your password did it ever say "completed" or is it still "processing"?

Hi Hellsheep,

I'm pretty sure it said completed, though it was very late at night when I did it. However, I just went to the Client Account Notifications page and the very latest notification is as follows:
----------------------------------------------------------------------
subject - x10Hosting Account Password Updated
date - July 31 at 3:07 am
sent to - changcatering@hotmail.com
body -

Hey there!
Your x10Hosting client account password has just been successfully changed through our account panel.

You can access the client account panel using the following URL: http://x10hosting.com/control

You are receiving this email because changcatering@hotmail.com is registered under an x10Hosting account.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

So to me, it seems like it should have gone through. I hope this helps.

Hi Hellsheep,

When I tried to send you a PM I received this page:

---------------------------------------
vBulletin Message

changcatering, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
  1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
  2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I think I'm about to learn how to laugh and cry at the same time.

Hi Hellsheep,

Somehow, I'm still not able to PM you, but this time, the pop-up doesn't show up when I mouse over your avatar.

Anyways, I've sent you the information via email.

Hi Hellsheep,

I'm able to access cPanel now. Thanks, but I cannot find this .htaccess file that you told me to delete and the website is still unavailable.

Go to cPanel
Bottom of page, click on
reset all interface settings
Click on File Manager
You should get a pop-up. Make sure you check Show Hidden Files (dotfiles).
Go to public_html
You should be able to see .htaccess

If you are using FTP, make sure you have 'hidden files' enabled.
