OK,
I have a paid account on hosting24 (which is x10hosting) and I have a free one. My paid one is working fine, however my free one is not

NOW BEFORE THE FLAMES FLY HOLD YOUR PANY HOSE!!!!

I read ALL OF THE POST pertaining to the free accounts and each of their status (mine is stoli - or at least that is what the address bar shows)

the latest post http://x10hosting.com/forums/news-announcements/129078-important-update-all-free-hosting-users.html

does not answer when to expect them back up: It was dated the 17, today is the 20, and I still do not have a site. it lands on some "orange" default page. The above post says they will not give eta's, but then later states it can take from 3 - 4 hrs.

All these post are like reading a "squeeze" page. They say a lot, but give nothing useful. 3 days?

my acct is not suspended so it rules that out. I can not log into the control panel - does not recognzie the pw/id and I cannot reset it, the page just goes blank. but I can log into the account itself that says things are fine (weird, because that's not my web page i designed).

I cannot reply to anywhere concerning this, so I am posting it here, because they are closed. All I really want to do is get the files from that site and move it to my paid host. I cannot even make a support ticket.

I love x10. it has tons of excellent options and is lighting fast!!! but this excessive down time of the "free end" is a little excessive.

The system does not show a free hosting account linked with this Forum username.

Do you have a cPanel username or domain name we could check?

You are on Stoli and Stoli is still being moved, which means your site is not reachable.

When Corey announces that Stoli is done, you should be able to open a support request if you have problems.

The site frostybytewow x10 mx is under the Forum account name contact39 , so please use that account when posting.

You are on Stoli as well, which is not done being moved. That'd be why.

I don't mean to be persistant, but regardless of all the countless post and updates, I DO have a paid hosting account here, and a free one, so I think I speak for many on stoli when I say that a week (7 days last count) of down time is a little much, no? And since I am a paying subscriber, voicing my concern I feel is acceptable.

I do not mind on the free one (which is currently being pointed to by one of my domains) to let is set idle for a few days, its just a gaming fan site, no biggy, but a week is just unacceptable - and even worse, I cannot even log on to download the server to move it temp to my home server while stoli is being moved. so it is literally frozen.

What exactly is the issue with the move (I am tech savvy, so I feel that is a valid question for those of us that understand). I have my own server and moving it takes about 1 or 2 hours 4 at most if I am doing software overhaul. or moving it from one machine to the next.

How are you a paying subscriber? You may have payed for an upgrade, but it's still free hosting.

How many accounts have you got on your server? There are over 7k accounts on each server (I think). That's why it's taking so long.

Callum, Try over 10,000 accounts.

Contact39: I'd like to see you try and do this all by yourself. Including Backing up individual accounts, Backing up /home/, checking the integrity, shutting down, wiping the server, upgrading hardware, re-imaging, installing and configuring software, making sure stuff works, restoring accounts, dealing with accounts that are damaged/broken restores, dealing with random issues that pop up, and repeating this for several servers. All the while, by the way, you have people, such as yourself, who are breating down your neck about how much better they could have done it, why it isn't finished, and other random, petty problems.
