Resolved What is the new maximum disk usage for free? Only 500MB?

After the update, I see I only have 500MB disk space.

I beveave you can put in a request for more storage here on the forum if you get low.

@hamradi2 is correct. Once you meet the requirements you can ask for more disk space.

The requirements are: account is at least 7 days old, have a working site in line with the terms and you are currently using at least half of the initial allotment.

We had to do this to combat a problem with users who were abusing the service

Your disk space has been increased.

I noticed that you had a lot of folders that was using the insecure setting of 777 (meaning that the world can write to those folders), I changed this to 755 which is the permission that is most commonly used for folders.
