I don't even use IE to download Firefox - I download Firefox with Firefox, then reinstall.

As for Windows Update, Vista and 7 have a Control Panel app.

When I install Windows first time, I need this to download other favorite browsers, It is also useful when you want to check how your site it looks in IE and what is broken in it.

I don't have any other purpose than this.

I didint use IE to download firefox.. i used a pen drive previously with all software i needed, really dont understand why they dont make a copy of firefox.. much easy
