Whats the next most anticipated Wii Game?

I'm thinking its either Mario Kart or that star wars unleashed game. That could be really cool or really bad.

Most Anticipated Games of 2007

10) Cooking Mama: Cook Off
Genre: Action Simulation
Developer: Office Create
Publisher: Majesco
Why?: I really enjoyed the DS game and the Wii version is perfectly suited for Nintendo's new controller. You use the Wii remote to dice vegetables, fry eggs, roll chicken in bread crumbs, pour some hot water into ramen and much more. Yeah, it sounds really silly, but it's both simple and fun. It's one of those lovable games that you can throw into your Wii for an hour a day and just veg out - yes, it's an especially poor pun, but it does fit. The visuals may be DS-esque, but this one's all about gameplay.

9) Disaster: Day of Crisis
Genre: Action
Developer: Monolith Software
Publisher: Nintendo
Why?: Both the theme and gameplay concepts have me very intrigued, and the developer - best known to Nintendo fans for its Baten Kaitos games -- has a proven track record. Unfortunately, details about the game are slim. However, the few details out there sound very fun. The title pits you through a series of catastrophes, from earthquakes to floods, and you have to use the Wii remote to survive. You'll race a car down a mountain and dodge toppling buildings. Meanwhile, Nintendo has boasted that the project's physics are impressive. I can't wait for the unveiling.

8) Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors
Genre: Action RPG
Developer: Square
Publisher: Square
Why?: I'll be honest here - I wasn't blown away by the initial unveiling. Swords seemed like a DQ throwaway and not a full-fledged item. That may ultimately still prove true, but recent information about how it plays and the latest screens have me excited by the potential. Swords features an original storyline set in the DQ universe and you use the Wii remote to fight and shield yourself from opponents. While the title has an on-rail feeling, the fights themselves should prove very dynamic. And to its credit, Swords does feature some of the best graphics on Wii yet.

7) Battalion Wars II
Genre: Action
Developer: Kuju Entertainment
Publisher: Nintendo
Why?: Simply, I loved the original Battalion Wars and the sequel looks to be much improved. You both control an individual soldier and can command entire squads on the fly. The action is relentless and the graphics are very stylized. BWII boasts fresh units and vehicles, brand new naval squads, and an in-depth online mode for versus and cooperative play. Best of all, new Wii remote-enhanced control makes possible a tighter degree of sensitivity and accuracy than ever before. Simply point with the remote to select squads and give commands.

6) SSX Blur
Genre: Sports
Developer: EA Montreal
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Why?: EA has really put some thought into the Wii take on the SSX franchise. Blur not only looks better than most Wii titles, running in 480p and 16:9 with large environments and pretty particle effects, but it plays extremely well, too. The game capitalizes on both the Wii remote and the nunchuk, which is a rarity. You can actually draw Uber moves with the Wii remote as your boarder soars through the air, and you'll twist the nunchuk left and right to intuitively carve your way downhill.

5) Super Paper Mario
Genre: Platform RPG
Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo
Why?: To me, Nintendo's Paper Mario franchise has always delivered one of the finest quasi-RPG experiences on the market because it disavows random battles and peppers the turn-based combat with bits of dynamic, skill-based actions. Plus, the titles are beautifully stylized. Super Paper Mario is set to go even heavier on the platformer mechanics without fully sacrificing the RPG appeal. And if you thought the previous titles looked good, you haven't seen anything yet. With eight huge worlds and the ability to play as Peach and Bowser in addition to Mario, I'm hyped.

4) No More Heroes
Genre: Action Adventure
Developer: Grasshopper Manufacture
Publisher: Spike
Why?: It's from Suda 51 and Grasshopper Manufacture, which made one of my favorite GameCube titles - the often-overlooked Killer 7. No More Heroes seems every bit as original and surreal as its predecessor. The title boasts a very different quasi-cel-shaded look and challenges players to take on the role of an assassin hell-bent on murdering all of his competition so that he can become the world's number-one killer. Use the Wii remote to engage in gory, futuristic sword fights and race around town in super-modded bike right out of an anime.

3) Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Genre: Fighter
Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo
Why?: I don't think I really need to explained why I picked this one, as just about every Nintendo fan surely has this one on their must-have list. Simply, Super Smash Bros. Melee was one of the greatest "fighters" ever created and Brawl looks to be better still. More classic, lovable mascot characters, such as the all-new Solid Snake, to choose from. More interactive stages. Significantly improved graphics. And a full-blown online mode. I'm slightly disappointed that the game doesn't really use the Wii remote. That said, why fix what isn't broken?

2) Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Genre: First-person Adventure
Developer: Retro Studios
Publisher: Nintendo
Why?: I'm a Metroid nut. Plus, Metroid Prime is probably my favorite game of all time. The sequel didn't quite live up to the first, but I've got faith in Retro Studios to make the third iteration a must-have. The title features an all-new storyline that travels Aran to multiple infected worlds and ultimately squares her off against nemesis Dark Samus. It features improved visuals - bloom lighting is all over the place, for starters. And it's got new Wii controls - easily the best for any first-person game on Nintendo's new console. It's not all about gunning, though - Prime 3 is said to feature more puzzles than ever.

1) Super Mario Galaxy
Genre: Platformer
Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo
Why?: It was easily and without a doubt my Game of E3 2006. Galaxy appealed to me because it delivered the goods on multiple fronts: not only was it a true sequel to the Mario games I've always loved, but it also really utilized the Wii remote in a fun, intuitive manner. The best of both worlds, really and I have exceptionally high hopes for the finished product. Physics-heavy puzzles married with really tight Wii-enhanced platformer controls could make this the best Mario ever made. And one thing is already for certain: it's the prettiest Wii title out there.

Other Games Worth Noting:It's funny, I really wanted to add two or three secret, still-unannounced Wii projects to this list, but knew I'd never be able to get away with it. Even without those titles, though, it was incredibly difficult to come up with a roster of just 10 Wii games that I'm excited about through the end of the year. I probably could have easily whipped up 20 or maybe even 30 projects - all of which will hit in the next 12 months. I left of Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles, which will undoubtedly be amazing, simply because I don't know for sure if it will release this year. I'd wager that it will be, but its release date cannot be verified. Project H.A.M.M.E.R. looks great and is a lot of fun, but until I see more of the game beyond its opening level, I'm going to remain cautiously optimistic. I was up until recently very excited about Forever Blue. However, I'm a little less so ever since we figured out that it was based on a series of PS2 games called Ever Blue - it might be something altogether new and awesome, and then again, it could be a throwaway port. Obviously, titles like Tiger Woods could be spectacular, but until I've really played with them at great length, they won't make my list. DK Bongo Blast will rock. And Sonic and the Secret Rings should be enjoyable, too.

Bozon's Most Anticipated Games of 2007

10) SSX Blur
Genre: Sports
Developer: EA Montreal
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Why?: I've been a fan of SSX since it first landed on PS2, and now that it's on the way to Wii I couldn't be happier. For whatever reason, the concept of Tony Hawk on Wii just didn't click for me, and while Downhill Jam was still a fun take on the franchise it just didn't feel… right. As for SSX, I feel like it has a solid chance at being a different - yet still very entertaining - Wii interpretation of the original games. It uses both controllers, has a unique way of using not just tilt, but also actual motion recognition, and looks to be a simple, stylized iteration of an awesome franchise. It just works.

9) Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07
Genre: Sports
Developer: EA Redwood Shores
Publisher: Electronic Arts
Why?: If you want to nitpick about graphics you've got the wrong system, plain and simple. While I sat at my desk reading complaint after complaint on various net message boards after we posted our first vids of Tiger I was simultaniously treated to members of our IGN LA Entertainment team as they watched the same trailer on Matt's machine, and from the sound of it Tiger is already selling systems. People that normally walk by without as much as a turn of the head were stopped dead in their tracks, and as Nintendo loyalists complained about visuals new gamers were commenting that "This is something I'd buy a Wii for." Madden convinced me that EA was a solid fit for Wii, and this is simply the next step.

8) No More Heroes
Genre: Action
Developer: Grasshopper
Publisher: Marvelous Interactive/Spike
Why?: No More Heroes almost didn't make my list simply because of the lack of info we've had on the game. That being said, the game is just too impressive to set aside, as I know hours upon hours of my time (and Matt's) will be put towards it over the next year. Its style is amazing, the combat seems to make use of the Wii-mote in an intense - yet intuitive - way, and it's hard not to get excited for Suda 51's next cult classic. Killer 7 may not have been a huge hit, but to tell you the truth I really don't care if No More Heroes sells only one copy this year. It'll be mine, and that's all that matters.

7) Mario Strikers Charged
Genre: Sports
Developer: Next Level Games
Publisher: Nintendo
Why?: Back when Casamassina reviewed the original Strikers for GameCube I was at the beginning of my IGN career, so while I thought the man was crazy for not giving the game an 11 out of 10 (what can I say… I loves me Strikers), I kept my trap shut. Not this time. Mario Strikers Charged looks to be a blatant "Wii-make" kind of game, as the visuals are only slightly enhanced and aside from some online play and basic IR usage it's the same game, but it's still going to be a ton of fun. If Nintendo simply adds a few new modes, new characters, and some new gameplay elements I'm down with another stint of Strikers.

6) Fire Emblem
Genre: Strategy
Developer: Intelligent Systems
Publisher: Nintendo
Why?: I'm a huge fan of both Fire Emblem and Advance Wars. In fact, when Battalion Wars first released I wasn't sure if I wanted to check it out, as part of me was pissed that it was an action game and not a strategy title like its 2D predecessor. Obviously I loves me some BW now, but I still have a special spot in my heart for straight-up strategy games, and that spot will be nicely filled by Fire Emblem this year. It rocked on GameCube, and it looks to rock just as much (if not more) on Wii. A warning though; if Intelligent Systems doesn't add IR cursor support to the game, I will snap my copy of Fire Emblem in half and use it as a weapon while I hunt down the team members individually. D-pad cursor movement; hah! What do I look like, a guy who didn't buy Wii? Don't try it guys… I'm seriously crazy.

5) Battalion Wars II
Genre: Shooter
Developer: Kuju Entertainment
Publisher: Nintendo
Why?: Just when the hate mail was on the way for my Battalion Wars comment, here it is one slot above Fire Emblem. Yup, this game is going to kick new and unique bunches of ass, and I'll be online battling each and every one of you when it does. Battalion Wars is an amazing game, and the addition of online, co-op, IR cursor control, and naval units is going to ensure that nobody gets a review of "Over the Hedge 3: The Return of Whatever" this year. No more crap reviews for me… I'm calling in sick every day from BWII's release until the end of the year, and I'd like to see anyone out there try and stop me. This is going to be a sweet year, yes sir.

4) Sonic and the Secret Rings
Genre: Platformer
Developer: SEGA
Publisher: SEGA
Why?: To be fair, I never thought in a million years that a Sonic game would sit on any top 10 list, much less as my first non-first party game. Still, the playthrough at E3 has me convinced that Sonic and the Secret Rings is the only 3D Sonic game. I've heard all the complaints (specifically from other IGN editors) about it being "on rails" and whatnot, but to be fair every sonic has been on rails, now you just have a better line of vision for jumps and attacks. As long as SEGA delivers on the demo I played, Sonic will rock.

3) Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Genre: Fighting
Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo
Why?: I'm really not sure what goes in this box. Is my job seriously supposed to be convincing Nintendo readers that Smash Bros. is cool? Ok… Link/Samus/Mario/Pit in a battle royal. Oh, and add in online play. There, I'm done. Enough said.

2) Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Genre: First-Person Adventure
Developer: Retro Studios
Publisher: Nintendo
Why?: I was never a huge fan of the Metroid Prime series (as Matt Casamassina passes out next to me without even reading this), as I'm more about the killing than I am about the scanning. Still, when I played it for Wii at E3 and then in New York, all that changed. Metroid is going to be amazing, and for all the diehard fans freaking out about the addition of more "shooter" elements into the mix, rest easy. You'll still have your scanning and exploration from what we're hearing. Now there's just more to kill along the way. All is well in the kingdom.

1) Super Mario Galaxy
Genre: Platformer
Developer: Nintendo
Publisher: Nintendo
Why?: I'm just going to say it and get it over with: Super Mario 64 was the last real Mario game. Screw the water hose, screw the Piantas, and screw Super Mario Sunshine. I want Mario, and it looks like I'm finally going to get it for the first time since September 26, 1996. Don't give me talking inanimate objects like a water gun, suitcase, or whatever the heck you think the franchise needs. Just stop. All I need is Mario, Bowser, a little bit of Yoshi, and Mr. Soccer-ball-head, and we can call it a day.

Other Games Worth Noting: This section of the Most Anticipated Titles could be longer than the actual list itself, but I'll keep it short, as there's no use rambling on about games we're all looking forward to. Still, the list of titles for 2007 on just Wii alone is already freaking huge, composed of such games as Super Paper Mario, Dragon Quest Swords, Forever Blue, Cooking Mama, Pokemon Battle Revolution (online Pocket Monsters), Project H.A.M.M.E.R., Disaster: Day of Crisis, Madden NFL 08, Medal of Honor Vanguard, Mario Party 8, and Resident Evil. Some of the games didn't make the list simply because I haven't seen enough of them, and others because Matt and I didn't want to sound like broken records on our lists. If this would have been a Top 20 list I'd still have no problem whipping it up, as there looks to be some amazing games on the way for Wii owners, and that doesn't begin to count the titles we don't know about yet. If games like Nintendogs, Electroplankton, Brain Age, and Wii Sports have taught me anything, it's that we've got no freaking clue what's in store for Wii until Nintendo is good and ready to tell us.

I've played Metroid Prime.. it's pretty good but it gets boring once you start playing Brawl. I'd wait for the next Mario Kart, but hopefully Nintendo didn't screw it up
