Hi,
I signed up 2 days ago but I still struggle to get my webpage to work:

As you can see in the screenshot, the address of my website is supposed to be markstar.co.cc - however, if you go there, it says that the site is still available, even though I have replaced the index.html file in public_html with my own index.html file.

Furthermore, while I can upload files via the file manager, I can't access the FTP server:
Code:
STATUS:> Host name ftp.markstar.co.cc resolved: ip = 114.207.244.146.
STATUS:> Connecting to FTP server... ftp.markstar.co.cc:21 (ip = 114.207.244.146)...
STATUS:> Socket connected. Waiting for welcome message...
        421 Service not available.
What am I missing? Was I supposed to do something else?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Kind regards,
Markstar

to get a co.cc address to work you need to go to their website and register the domain you want as co.cc is a third party domain provider.

Once you have registered there you need to configure the domain to use our name servers: ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com

Your ftp problem is related to this as well.

Oh, then I misunderstood when I signed up. I don't really need the co.cc domain, is there any way to get a free (sub)domain directly from X10?

yes, just login to your account panel and click modify account in the right hand menu.

If you chose one of the following domains for your site you don't need to take any further action, though it might take a bit for the dns to fully propagate (it can take up to 48 hours, but commonly it's working within an hour).

.x10hosting.com
.exofire.net
.pcriot.com
.elementfx.com

Wow, you are quick! I wanted to edit my last post to say that I think I did it (exactly what you wrote) and I'm on the queue and I hope that this will work.

Anyway, thank you very much! :)
