PS CS3 Ext. is the only way to make really fancy stuff.
Please don't think I used it to make my current site though.
I used GIMP for that.
Ps CS3 Ext. is what I use to make backgrounds and pics

Real Draw Pro + Adobe Photoshop

Real Draw Pro is very easy to use. I attached two images made in Real Draw Pro.
Yahoo messenger Icon, and Acrobat Reader PDF Icon.
There were no additional softwares used for this.
Another interesting feature of Real Draw Pro is, you can save as PSD document, then In Photoshop you can improve the image.

(If anyone need Realdraw format *.rdw or PSD of these images I will post here)

PhotoShop CS3 Extended, I'm just an average joe using a computer and I find it pretty simple.

I use Photoshop CS3 Extended and before that Gimp. I always thought that Gimp was easier to use but after learning and using photoshop for so long Gimp confuses me.

I have photoshop elements, but it runs too slow for my liking, so I just use paint. I have for the last 6 years and I probably will for at least another year.

I feel exactly the same way you do. When I lost my Photoshop I was forced to resort to GIMP and the GUI interface just completely blew me the wrong way. I didn't know how to animate anything and everything was just. Sucky. So I truly will always love Photoshop for it's friendly GUI, good reputation, and amazing product.

Hey guys,

I use the GIMP for all my graphics. I personally can't stand Photoshop and Fireworks, the entire set of tools and controls don't seem to work for me. Never had a problem with the GIMP though; I've always found it easy to come out with pretty neat graphics.

Tried to use Photoshop at school the other day and, probably because I've never actually sat down and toyed with it, I came out with a really tatty image.

Paint.NET looks good, pity it was designed for the .NET framework, us Linux users are never going to be able to use that, even through Wine =[
