Why do I get a page with a random number when logging into the portal?

When I log into the portal, I get a blank page with a random number on it. I took a screenshot of the page.

You should not have to do that after entering the login credentials correctly. They should have never changed the login page when nothing was wrong with it. Why try to fix something when it was not broken? If they have to change something, why not allow us to remove a post/thread if we want? All I know is I am not happy that they created this issue and it is still not fixed.

The login page was changed a month or two ago to allow us to incorporate various other features into the x10 free hosting login, such as a better inactivity timer and a central login for all users. Obviously the blank page with a number is a bug and is not expected behaviour, but @Sakimabear has provided a good workaround.

Also, staff members will happily lock forum topics by request. We like to keep threads for reference.
