Hello there!

My country, austria is not supported. But I don't really understand why.

Germany is on the whitelist but Austria not? Germany even has a much higher "website abuse rate" than Austria so far.
Do you probably forgot Austria because it's a small country or something?

A explanation would be really nice.

Thank you!

Has my question been queued or will I never receive an answer?

A statement would be cool :)

The countries that are blocked either due to US sanctions making it illegal for us to provide service to residents in those countries or due to a high level of abuse from past users from that country.

The list is revisited and re-evaluated from time to time.

Yeah, I've already read that ;)

But it kinda makes no sense; even more when I see that Germany and Switzerland are allowed too.

How many people from Austria could have been abusing this site? 10? I mean, Austria is a little country with fewer people using webhosting services and even less people who might have used x10hosting.
And my country is not blocked by US Sanction, that's for sure.

I mean I could drive with my laptop 30 miles to germany and register a website...?

I guess in theory you could, however you may risk losing account due to circumventing the block.

I'm not part of the team that evaluates what countries to allow or not, but I know the decision is based upon our own statistics from when we did use to allow all countries not under sanctions, to some extent the countries own take on copyright infringement laws and such does play a part in the decision.
