Why must press F5-key before can see own updates on Forum pages?

I have finally figured out why the forum member login panel does not show me as logged in right after doing so: It appears that the page won't update until it is forced to refresh with a pressing of the F5-key.

Same thing happens after posting new threads or replies on forums.

I'm using IE6 from an XP machine.

Is this normal behavior? If so, seems a bit awkward.

It must be your browser or your settings on it. I believe the forums use Ajax/javascript to post the quick reply's. Either you have it disabled, or something else is wrong.

Thanks for the insights. If this is not right topic, what forum is? I'll gladly move the question, I thought this was "Unofficial Community Support". I must not understand how the forums are organized, so can somone please help me better educate myself on this question.
