Why my phpmail() is disabled?

Dear all,
thanks for that speedy action regarding that site attack query..Now,its working without any glitches..Now,am having a problem..When my visitors try to send a feedback from my site,they get an error message that phpmail() has been disabled for security reasons......Why is this so?Is there any way for tackling this little prob?Would be nice,if any of you guys can help me out.By the way,my form is located at http://esheinongmai.x10.bz/feedback.html

Well thanks for the speedy reply.I have read the threads on updates.Learnt that my server starka updates has been completed.Want to know when will phpmail be available again?Wil it take days or weeks?Thanks again

There's no ETA on that.

mail() is one of the most abused functions, and those abusing it does cause us trouble, they get x10Hosting servers marked as sending spam/allowing spam to be sent. In turn that makes a lot legit users frustrated as their users (on forums, mailing lists and so on) does not receive the e-mails they send, and they keep getting mail blocked messages back.

If you have the option to use smtp for sending mail in your script, I'd suggest looking into enabling and configuring that for now.

Would love to know how do i enable and configure,in order to use smtp..M a novice,so do excuse me for this stupid question.

Go to cPanel and then click on email Account. Click on configure mail client there. SMTP settings can be found there.
