I am using Contact Form 7 version (4.7) in Wordpress
Email works, I get all the information.
The problem is the "from line" in the email says
From "WordPress" and when I open the email and expand on the from in the email the whole line reads:
WordPress <x10host@jeromegreene55.byethost14.com>

In the settings under the mail tab in the plugin the from definition looks like this:
FROM <x10host@jeromegreene55.byethost14.com>

My email account under my cPanel has the following:
x10host@jerome1greene.x10host.com

In the cPanel when I try to define and email account that definition looks like this:
Email _____________ @ jerome1greene.x10host.com

Question how to I fix the from subject so it read x10host and not WordPress?

Thank You

From line in the Contact Form plugin looks like this now:
FROM x10host <x10host@jerome1greene.x10host.com>

When I try to save it I get the following error message:
Sender email address does not belong to the site domain.

I only have two email address

My Domain:
jerome1greene.x10host.com

Account @ Domain:
x10host@jerome1greene.x10host.com <---- created this under cPannel email account. Is this a email account?(1)
The only other email is the one I sign in with (2)
Do I use my sign in email address in the contact form?

Can you send mail directly from that account? I'm wondering if they filter outgoing mail that looks like it might be from the hosting company rather than a client account.

In your Wordpress general setting, what is the email address used? I believe contact form 7 is using that address which differs from ur cpanel email

essellar I was able to send email from my X10hosting to my home account.
The from line read "from:jerome1g@xo3.x10hosting.com"
User Name jerome1g Server Name xo3.x10hosting.com <----- name of my inbox

chatgox In the Wordpress general setting the email address is my personnel email address.
Just tried it in the contact form and got an error:
Sender email address does not belong to the site domain

Well I don't know how many people are following this thread, but I just came across a new piece of my puzzle.
I was able to send email from my X10hosting to my home account and received it. Then just for kicks I did a reply to it to see if that would work. And this is what the email message I received from my personnel email account:

Message not delivered
There was a problem delivering your message to jerome1g@xo3.x10hosting.com. See the technical details below, or try resending in a few minutes.

The response from the remote server was:

550 You do not have sufficient privileges to send mail to this address. Please authenticate and try again.

Final-Recipient: rfc822; jerome1g@xo3.x10hosting.com
Action: failed
Status: 5.0.0

Remote-MTA: dns; xo3.x10hosting.com (198.91.81.3, the server for the domain.)
Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550-You do not have sufficient privileges to send mail to this address. Please
550 authenticate and try again.
Last-Attempt-Date: Wed, 29 Mar 2017 17:04:48 -0700 (PDT)

When I googled the error number & the message the results said:
Something might be wrong / not configured right with the email server

I will open this one up in a new thread and see what I get

Thanks all

What I meant was that having "x10host" as the name part of your sending address might be a problem. And yes, your username on the server has a default email address associated with the Linux user; that doesn't mean it's authorized to receive mail from outside senders, or that you have access to any mail the account may receive as that user.
