Hey guys,

I was wondering what I could do to decrease the CPU usage by WordPress. I was just suspended for it (I'm unsuspended now but I want to make sure it doesn't happen again). Is there anything I could do to make it lighter on the server?

Thanks,

DV

Hi deltavolt,

Generally the things that cause high system resource suspension with Wordpress are the plugins. Check and see if there are any plugins that may require a lot of CPU power.

Also disable super caching, it doesn't work well with free-hosting.

Is there any particular way to know if a plugin is a CPU hog?

Also, how do I disable the Super Caching? I've heard of a plugin that I think had a similar name but I don't have it installed.

Ehh, i thought it was a default feature in wordpress, disable any type of caching or gzip compression for it.
