Wordpress Error..NEED HELP?!?!

Hi I am new to this hosting service and not really a technie.

I just installed wordpress and I am getting this error.

These are pretty self-explanatory - No such file or directory means the file is not there, in this case something is really wrong because it is trying to include a folder, rather than a file.

If you look, it's including the layouts/ folder, which might exist but include doesn't work on directories - it needs to include a file, not the entire folder.

Freshnews isn't the default Wordpress template, so I'd get in touch with the designer of the theme and attempt to work out with them what the problem is. Might just be a version mismatch - if it's designed to work with WP 2.1 and you're on WP 2.8, that could very well cause the problem, but without knowing the theme's source or any more information, there's not a lot we can do.


If you want us to try and fix it, where's the source of the template (where did it come from), and what version of Wordpress are you using?

i got the template from - http://www.woothemes.com/ and I am using wordpresss 2.8.

considering that theme were released over a year ago, I'd say there's a huge risk that it is not fully compatible with the latest WordPress. There's no information about what version it will work with that I can see.

If you did actually buy that theme, I suggest you bug them to see if it is compatible with WordPress 2.8, and if not get them to help you upgrade it, or give you a refund...

ok, well try and contact the creator and ask if he can help upgrade it, as it is likely to be created for an older version of WP.

Or you could ask nicely if someone on the forum can help you do that, in exchange for a link to their site or some other offer. Credits are commonly used as payment between users.

as far as i know those themes require a plugin to work properly thats why your getting that error the plugins comes with theme you purchased so check the folder again for plugins if not just remove this line and should work i had same problem once i forgot to upload the plugins hope this helps
