Well, if you only want to monitor certain forums here, why not just go via the main index page and only look at the ones you're interested in? They're marked with a different icon if there are new posts/threads.

I answered the above post yesterday and asked for a mod to move part of it to the starting of the topic.... They accidently moved the whole thing i guess i shoulda pointed that out better. Anyways your awnser is below... and can a mod or admin edit out the below part from my first post now:

Thats part of my point... firstly new posts section has the main function to show everyone the newest posts... its easy to look at one cat at a time.. so for games u click games and there you go... for everything else instead of going to each cat u press "New Posts" I just want to stop topic spam (I think i created a new word, not sure though) in the "new posts" section from the games category thats all.

When you click New Posts, it shows you a list of new posts & each category/forum section that they're in.

It doesn't seem all that difficult to me to just scan through, clicking on & ignoring whichever posts that one prefers.

I take your point that things could be made even easier (see my first post here) but I really don't think it's a big deal, & probably not worth the hassle for admin to try & make the necessary mods. :)

Edit : And judging by your new attachment, just added to your first post - wouldn't it be an easier option to just add ichwar to your Ignore List. ......Lol.

That way, you'll also save yourself from having to listen to his repeated "Why don't you re-format your Windows PC, & install Linux?" which he spams throughout the forum, as well ! ;)

I like your idea.
Zen-r, you said that, go back to your first post in this thread.

So why are you now coming back and saying you don't like this idea???

Where did I say that I don't like the idea?

I said that it's probably not worth the hassle for admin to try & make the necessary mods.

There is a difference between the 2. :)

The only reason there would be a difference between the two is because it's not worthwhile enough for you to be able to make it worthwhile for the admins.
If enough of the others who frequent these forums don't appreciate my/your spam posts in the forums games sections, then it might be worthwhile for the admins to do something.

Exactly.

Other members should post their feedback & vote in this poll if they think the feature is important enough.

It looks like the vast majority, 63% don't care though!

They should just do as I suggested, & add you & I to their Ignore List - I know that I'm tempted! (is it possible to ignore oneself? Lol.)

What! You mean 3 people wanting it isn't enough? ;)

And it's not allowed to ignore your self, I tried it!

He also spends a good time elsewhere. A good 1,429 posts somewhere else but forum Games.

I honestly just think this would be a waste of x10 Developer power, and more effort should be put in to what this company's goal is, providing quality free web hosting to all users, the forums are just a means of communication to X10. I mean for all we know, they could just shut down the forums and have a support ticket system so the only thing they have to bother with is hosting problems.

well if were to be difficult fine. But im preaty sure its a matter of admin setting or installing 1 mod... and saying ignore this board in new posts section.... SMF had that, Vb probably has it too.

What will it take em 5 mins? 10? 15? if longer then fine... dont do it.

Besides were did u get that info on zen-r from??? I though your post count dosent go up in games forums..
