my site seems to be down for more than a day now. I'm not sure if it is something I've done or if the servers are down or in accessible.

I cannot sign on to the hosting panel directly through https://x15.x10hosting.com:2222/ . The error message is "This site can’t be reached".

Is there a page with the status of the various domains/servers?

Appreciate if one of the admins can get be up and running again. Thanks,

Server is up and so is the domain, however your IP was blocked by the firewall due to "(ftpd) Failed FTP login"

That explains it. Thanks for unblocking me. I no longer seem to be certain of my proper FTP credentials. Just so I don't get blocked again can you confirm which ftp credentials I should be using? I have only one FTP account set up in DirectAdmin and the ftp password I am using is the same as the password I use to access DirectAdmin (through https://x15.x10hosting.com:2222/) . Is this correct?

I tried to change my main password and log on to FTP with the new password and existing ID: Here is the FTP log:

Status: Connecting to ???.??.??.??:21...
Status: Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Status: Initializing TLS...
Status: Verifying certificate...
Status: TLS connection established.
Command: USER ********
Response: 331 User ******** OK. Password required
Command: PASS *********
Response: 530 Login authentication failed
Error: Critical error: Could not connect to server

To avoid getting blocked by the firewall I'm not trying again until I hear back. Thanks

Changing the password for the panel login (https://x10hosting.com/panel) will NOT affect the FTP or DirectAdmin username/pass combination.

To change those you will do it from within the panel, see the following image:
DA_password.png

Click the service name on the dashboard to get to the options as shown to the right of the image. That password change will reset the password used for DirectAdmin itself and the base FTP account.

OK. thanks. It was not clear to me that the passwords are different. I was able to logon using FTP with the instructions you provided.
