X10Hosting and Wordpress, and some other domains

Hello everybody,
I'm searching several hosting services and companies looking for a really stable, fast and serious hosting company. I have tried almost all free hosting services like 000webhost, byethost, etc. and finally arrived here at x10hosting. I have to say that I'm really impressed with its speed and compatibility with Wordpress: I can update plugins even without entering FTP info, like others. It works really fast. The only problem right now is that, some of the plugins I'm trying are doing some caching and queries, and I have received two warnings in half an hour about high resources usage.

I would like to make a couple of questions to the users and to the staff if possible:
-Does the paid hosting has the same perfect compatibility with WordPress as the free hosting? I suppose it has, but I need to ask it because I cannot believe it yet. I'm really surprised on how it works!
-Do the penalties are so often in paid service too? I don't want to pay for a hosting and get banned from it so often. I don't want to use high cpu usage apps, just normal use of it: pages, users comments, database backups, etc.

I'm really satisfied with the speed of the free hosting, but a bit worried about the penalty system. I know it's a really good measure to avoid bad users, I understand that, but I would like to know other users experiences on that.

My actual website is www.lofotenresidents.com (hosted in 000webhosting.com for now), but I want to move it to x10hosting.com. You can check the same page at my x10 testing page here: http://almarma.x10.mx/ You will notice the difference.
Thank you in advance.

Hmm. Here are the answers:

Wordpress has great compatibility with free hosting, so there should be no problem with paid hosting. My site just works great!

There are fewer penalties on paid hosting and there is no CPU usage restrictions there. You can read the details at www.x10premium.com. Just check the Terms of Service. Don't worry you won't be suspended that easily.

So I hope this helps.

And yes, do move your site over to x10, because your x10hosting site loads much much faster than your old site
X10hosting: 10 secs load time
000Webhost: 45 secs load time.

I have tested it from here. From other places it may vary.

Anyway have a nice time!

Hello Nandifamily,

Thank you for your answer. Yes, I'll move from 000webhosting to x10. Also would love to buy the premium hosting, but I think I would wait maybe some months, to start having paid customers (now all of them are friends a family). I have 6 domains right now, and plan to have two more in the near future, but until I start to have inconmings from some of them, I will stay with free hosting. I was checking x10premium but to get 4$ per month I have to subscribe (and pay) a 3 year contract. This is much for me right now, and also to pay only one year 5,75$ per month is quite expensive for me.

I'm really surprised with how well it works (x10 free hosting), and also the features for the paid service look really good. I have been checking several services as I told before, and they are not the same at all. For example, in 000webhost you cannot update the plugins or install new ones with the automatic tools, they always fail, and also you have to enter your FTP data to do it. But with x10 you even don't need FTP information, you can update them as in a local testing service (XAMPP). Also, some plugins as Total Cache don't work in 000webhost, and work without problems in x10... So it's clear for me to buy your premium service, but I need some time to start with incomings.

Thank you very much!!

Ah! Thanks for the reply. Let me tell u that I am just another hosting member like u. I could help u cuz I am here for a long time. If u need further support I want u to contact the admins.

If u liked my post u always rep me and add to my reputation. I would like it very much.

A word of advice, if u run a business website where u get income, then switch to paid ASAP. Since this is a big webhost, occassional downtime could be long. And u could face losses. Paid hosting has 99 percent SLA, which free doesnt have.

Good luck with ur venture!

Hi! Thank you again for the info!! Haha, sorry for the misunderstanding. After reading "x10hosting member" I though of a team member, haha. OK, I read your suggestions and find them quite useful. One more thing: I have just read that are only allowed pages on English or Spanish. My site is mainly in English, but also in Spanish and in Norwegian (although my Norwegian is almost nothing now and I have the same english content). Will I be banned? If so, I would have to stay at 000webhost for now...

Also, if you don't mind, I have another question: I have a subdomain for testing. How is the best way to add my domain to my x10 account? At first, I did it here: https://x10hosting.com/control/?hosting&modify

But later I noticed that my subdomain stopped working, so I changed it back to almarma.x10.mx, and in Cpanel added LofotenResidents.com as a parked domain. Later, in my domain page service, I changed DNS servers to:

ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com

Is it enough? I know I have to wait, but now my free subdomain doesn't work correctly

Hello,

No you won't be banned, as long as the main languages is one of the allowed one, or a full translation into one of them are easy to find, additional languages will not get you banned.

Both domains work fine for me, you might need to clear browser cache, and/or flush dns cache if they still don't show properly for you.

Hi Anna,
Thank you very much! I have just checked them and both work fine now! I only have to wait some more time to new DNS record to propagate. Thank you for your checking, country neighbor! ;)
