The roman numeral argument is odd but makes sense for the x10 name. I'd be inclined to believe it is a modestly subtle advertising technique, to say your company is "times 10 hosting" (x10 hosting) sounds impressive in and of itself.

I must say, I agree completely with the thread title. I originally had free hosting, and then upgraded to a vps shortly after. I've been very pleased with the speed of the support team, and I'm glad I found x10hosting.

x10 Is by far the friendliest, most amusing, caring free webhosting service I have seen in my 3 or 4 years of webhosting and server managing. The only downside is the back and forth regarding downtime. Back in the day when x10 didn't do all this, it was just the best! And it still is the best!! Keep it up x10!
