Could some one please further advise me on this or where to find this as I dont seem to be able to access this currently

You should now be able to properly use SSL
Thank you Anna

I'm still sure of what's happening with this but I selected as per menu enable SSL
I then see a choice of use server signed certificate and other choices

Ive gone with the default selection of , "use server signed certificate " as if I select Lets encrypt this then throws an error

Ive also ticked force ssl which under the selected default heading of "use server signed certificate " as this does not seem to complain about and then save there after

But ......

On re entering a url of , "https://eliteprojects.x10host.com " , ssl enabled this then replies with

Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead

Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to eliteprojects.x10host.com.

If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details

and of course no site displayed

If I then enter , " "http://eliteprojects.x10host.com " then I see the locked padlock sign and am advised connection is not secure
but site displayed

What is it I'm not doing correctly at this point

Many thanks for your patience

Mark

Ive now changed this with setting with force SSL unticked as both urls will not display and still no joy

Ive also tried inserting www in front of domain and nope that wont work either

You should now be able to properly use SSL
Good morning Anna

Reference not being able to access site via SSL or with this disabled

This morning I tried more steps to see if I could get this to work

1: The first step I tied was to disable ssh and retried to access site with links of http://eliteprojects.x10host.com >> No joy and redirects too https://eliteprojects.x10host.com I assume this is forced redirect although not selected and should be disabled

2: Next I tried both with www inserted into the url with both http and https => No joy and both showing same error

I then tried re enabling and using self signed certificate and the same issue

I then disabled SSL again and retried with http://eliteprojects.x10host.com && http://www.eliteprojects.x10.host.com both return same issue

I then further tried renaming the domain to eliteelectronics.x10host.com but no this will not accept this either

I am wondering if at this stage it may be better to delete the account altogether for sake of ease and the start over again

I will check messages later today to see if possible conclusion has been draw regards this whilst awaiting your advice

I would attach the two images of the certificate I have taken but knowing that contains the keys I wouldn't this the best option owing to security

Thanking you

Mark

odd .
i was just able to select "Use the server's certificate"
on the x15 link and my website works fine. (both http and https)
i did not check the force ssl option.

i also think you have to login to the ssl server each time.
for me its https://x15.x10hosting.com:2222/user/ssl
as im on the x15 server, (this is only the SSL login)
it is not the official login to keep your account active.

Also please be aware that support might take a few days to reply.
they do not check the forum regular daily basis.
its normally member helping member forum.
