Hi
Wish to use an existing domain name that I own to replace my x10 subdomain.
Added my own domain to my account but appear to be unable to remove the x10 subdomain.
Previous similar but aged theads suggests users should "request in the forum to have an Account Manager or staff to change it" and also remove the user's own domain from the account before posting the request.
Own domain now removed from account.
Could a person with suitable permissions now remove the x10 subdomain please, or point me in right direction of correct procedure.
Thanks.

Hi, I think all accounts are required to use an x10hosting sub domain name.. You can add your domain as a "Parked" domain and use it as your main URL.

@Derek That is correct.

All accounts on free hosting must have one of the provided subdomain as their main domain. Custom domains can be set as either parked or addon domains only.

The outside world however would not know this if you set the domain properly and only use your custom domain.

I have searched through threads for hours and I still cannot figure out how to use my own URL, x10hosting's url is tagged onto it every time I try to redirect. If anyone could please actually answer this question with concise steps it would be appreciated. ELI5 please, none of the tutorials have worked for me.

Hi! There's a full guide on this help article, but I'll provide you with a summary as to what you'll need to do below.

1) From your domain registrar's control panel, set the nameservers to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com.
2) From x10Hosting's control panel, add a new Parked Domain.
3) That's it! It looks like you're using WordPress though, so you'll need to change your WordPress site URL by going to "Settings" then "General" in WordPress, and changing the "WordPress Address" and "Site Address".

Let me know if you run into any problems! :)

Thank you,
