It's not always the best idea to limit your users by their screen resolution, and it's an even worse idea to suggest IE to them. Try using screen percentages for your height and width, that way it will always look good.

I've never used that, but it sounds as though you're trying to make your website 1024px wide, which is a bad idea. Not only will this not display well on some lower resolution monitors, but it's much easier just to do: width:100%; in your CSS.

I learned HTML with Dreamweaver, and the will, and just basically disassembling sites to see what each part did. Get the latest version of Dreamweaver (CS4) for the best results, especially when it comes to validating your code.

The only thing I don't like about it is the amount of shadow under the navigation menu, try a 50% shadow, maybe 4px high, but other than that, looks good.

I use PHP and FTP to update my site, and the only thing I use cPanel for is to access phpMyAdmin, which you can install anyways. Out with cPanel!

Alright, so I have an account on x10hosting.com, however it crashes quite frequently. I do not know why, I am well under my bandwidth, it just gives me a 404 error, and I usually have to wait about 20 mins for it to work again. Anyone else have this problem or is it just me?
