Here's what I can see.

Hmmm, go to the device manager and see if it even sees anything there. If it does, then you just need to find the right drivers. If there's no PS/2 devices listed there, then either something might be disabled in the bios, or possibly your MB is going bad.

I guess if that restriction were placed, then it might not be too bad. But I think things are still good the way they are right now.

Yep, it has the potential to cause a lot of troubles. However, if there is a post that inappropriate, ie. spam, advertising messages, and problematic (harassment, fighting, or rude) posts, you can use Report Post option right next to the rep button and the mods will take care of it.
