    Site refresh

I have finally finished a new icon and pushed the site out to the main domain. There are couple of things left to do, namely text-shadow sorting etc. Better...worse?

    Review my Website - Tagword

To be honest, that is the most horrendous list I have ever seen; flip it upside down and you're almost right (Switch Opera and IE). I suppose you have the right to your own opinion, but you really are depriving yourself and your users from a good experience. Anyway, you say it only works in IE...

Novice Web Programming Forum (Suggestions appreciated)

It may be worth posting some detailed tutorials on some common programming topics, then if you get those tutorials into Google's first/second page for that topic then you should attract visitors through that technique. Once you have some flow of people and some content, some will be tempted to...

Getting Non-Syndicated Info from Another Site

Bear in mind that just because something is published publicly on the web does not automatically mean it is OK to take it. It's very likely that they'll be just fine with letting you use the data, but it is always worth checking.

    phpinfo Test File

You might want to be careful checking if PHP is installed with a PHP script. For PHP extensions it will be fine, but if PHP itself isn't installed the users will just see the PHP code itself.

    Reg connection String for database

Do you mean your connection username etc? It might help if you give a bit more detail about what it is you need. The server you use is 'localhost' and you have to set up users and passwords in cPanel.

Getting Non-Syndicated Info from Another Site

I am dubious of problems that may arise from using data that isn't meant to be extracted for custom use. Would it not be better to go to the website's owner and either request data access or at least get proper permission to use this method. It is very likely they will deny you direct data...

error while trying to install joomla1.5

Try enabling hidden files in your FTP app or in the File manager and see if you see any files then. If you don't then you can install to a sub-folder and then use .htaccess to redirect all traffic to the root directory to the sub-folder, plus the users address bar would still show you were in...

Javascript change style attribute of span

How exactly are you trying to run it? All you need to do is open that page and drag the link I gave you to your bookmarks bar. Then, when you're on the page you want to show, just click the bookmark.

Help... One of my sites is broken

It is now working fine here. It is possible that Internet Explorer is automatically turning the whole url lower case, hence why the upper case file names cannot be found. I can't think of anything else, unless it is something unrelated. IE is very well known for problems.

Javascript change style attribute of span

Just to let you know that code works just fine as it is. To allow people to drag it to their Bookmark bar, make a link like this: Simple as that.

    Url thumb nail pics

It's called a favicon. Either create a small (64*64) version of your logo or use something like this. Then upload it to your site's public_html directory and add this to your pages <head> section: <link rel="icon" href="/path/to/icon.png" type="image/png">

Help... One of my sites is broken

You haven't changed the names though. It is still saying 'http://bobgalka.x10hosting.com/PhotoArt/Animals/slides/before/Cubby.jpg' does not exist, but 'http://bobgalka.x10hosting.com/PhotoArt/Animals/slides/before/cubby.jpg' does. As to the problem, it is possible that the server was in...

Help... One of my sites is broken

Well the script is trying to reference files that the server is saying aren't there. It looks to me like a configuration problem. For example: I am looking at this one It is finding the file 'http://bobgalka.x10hosting.com/PhotoArt/Animals/slides/Cubby.jpg' just fine. However, the file...
