the servers are unmanaged so as long as the game server doesnt eat up resources or go over your BW limit i don't think there is a problem (not admin so this is not an official response)

With a VPS your guarenteed space and memory so any memory intensive php script will run faster. as for loading faster, im not sure, you'll probably have CPU priorety over freehosting, but im not sure how the servers power is shared
