I ban DefecTalisman for using some really obvious self promotion.

Some of the features may work, but I would recommend upgrading anyway, because I believe that some of the important features will not work on the basic version of php. You can upgrade in the account control pannel.

I know some assembly (for Ti-84 graphics calculators), PHP, HTML, Javascript and a little bit of c and XML. I am still mucking around with these web languages but I might move onto some more traditional programming languages at some stage.

You can use the file manager in cpanel to have a look at the contents of your websites, it has a code editor that you can use as well. Just remember that your site is in the public_html folder, to edit your sites index page, just find the index.html file in that folder and use the code editor to...

I don't see any reason why not, just remember that you can't access the x10 databases from other places.
