Remote MySQL is disabled at x10 for security reasons. You can only access MySQL from the server your site is on.

Fantastico was part of x10's cPanel before but it looks like it has been replaced by Softaculous, another script installation addon.

phpBB3- most powerful forum software I've used. If you know the backbone of it, it isn't hard to customize. Plus it has a ton of user contributed modifications.
