Well, the question comes down to be if you really do need the ads or not along with the extra resources. Personally myself, I'm well within the resources of my account so I don't have any need for them. Should my site start to get too big/busy for my account type, I'll throw ads on or upgrade to...
Half-Life and Starcraft will run on any PC, even the crappiest of them, dating back to 10 years or so ago. Halo and Half-Life 2 are great to look into as well if the PC is fairly new and has an ok video card.
Hard Drives are pretty tough things, so I wouldn't worry about damage unless you're seriously using it rapidly for a long time. If it's starting to act up, then I'd be worried.
I would have no idea what that GZipped file is. If you just got the computer on Black Friday, unless you're doing really stupid things with it, you shouldn't have a thing to worry about if it's new. But personally I'd use Avast!. It's what I use. Avast Home Edition is free if you're interested.
I can't connect to the server hosting the images at this time. The DNS is resolving, but the site might just be having some issues. Otherwise, if you're looking for Motion, if it uses DirectX, use FRAPs. Otherwise, CamStudio is an ok program to use.
The book you rented wasn't Star Wars: The Ultimate Visual Guide, was it? I have that book here and it sure is packed with info. High resolution images and all!
You're good. You don't seem like a person who would be a jerk anyways. Just sounds like some retards out there trying to destroy someone's self esteem again.
