Well the cost will depend on the type of RAM (make sure you check the clock speed of the RAM, etc for similarities). I suggest you just search your specific type of RAM and compare the prices on Newegg.com.

From what I know, the USB has to have "ready-boost" enabled to have it add as RAM to Vista. You're better off upgrading RAM usually..

Are you sure you have the proper graphics card drivers from nVidia? Also I suggest checking your monitor settings.. maybe there's some kind of function that needs to be changed

If you plan on gaming, I highly recommend against mobile graphics cards.. I'm not sure about their clock speeds but I would presume they are lower than those of dedicated cards. Additionally, they share your existing RAM
