You can put an additional domain as addon domain in cPanel, that would be the only option for that scenario, and the only option that would keep you in abidance with the ToS, as each individual can only have one hosting account.

It comes back as valid for me when I test, confirming with higher level admin if it was replaced/renewed recently. You are most likely seeing that because the old certificate is still cached in your browser.
