Checking and logging user name in database tables...

I have most everything working on this script except one thing. What I want to do is store that user's name and time they logged-in in a separate database table, so I can see who and when they logged in. The script I have thus far does everything perfectly fine up to the point where it tries...

    Redisplaying a drop-down menu choice...

Ok here is the code of a test I am working on and for some reason I can't get it to redisplay the drop-down menu choice (which is a state abbreviation) after it encounters an error. It always goes back to the default " " as the choice. Like I've said before I am fairly new to the game so I'm...

Would you play a text based game?

Would I, maybe. Have I, who hasn't? I remember playing one that had seventeen floppy discs... you were always changing disks. It really depends on how well it's written and how deep the story is. If you took most any of todays top games and made them text based, they'd be boring and have a...

preg_match/if statements, can't quite grasp it...

I'm trying to write an if statement that tests/validates a field that has a two word name, for example New York. I just can't seem to figure out how to do it. I mean was able to write perfectly working if statements to test/validate email addresses, US zip codes, state abbreviations, and so on...

    who plays far cry 2?

I just love the game, however just like Hue Kares pointed out, there is a huge flaw in the game and I'm no longer able to load any of my saved games. I've been keeping track of the development of a patch to fix this, but so far nothing. I don't want to start a new game because of how close I...

    Anyone enjoying Left 4 Dead?

Just downloaded the "Survival Pack" for L4D, just been too bust to play it yet. Hope it's as good as what everyone's been saying. Edit: Well I just played a couple of rounds of Survival mode with some friends, pretty dang fun. Whats not fun is when it throws two Tanks at you at the same time...

Yeah the TF2 stuff is worth it, really need to get back to playing it.

So I just downloaded the extra content for Fallout 3 (XBox 360 version)....

I think a lot of the DLCs out there are a big hit or a total miss. Take the Fallout 3 DLCs, they were good but way short. The Pitt was more fun to me, but didn't seem polished. Operation Anchorage was well polished but didn't feel like it belonged in the game, that and was super short (more or...

So I just downloaded the extra content for Fallout 3 (XBox 360 version)....

... and went through both The Pitt and Operation Anchorage in less then three hours. Got all of the achievements, goodies, everything and I feel like I kinda got ripped off for how easy they both were. Am I the only one that feels that way? :dunno: They were fun, but short as hell...

    Anyone enjoying Left 4 Dead?

I guess because the game was developed as a "survive a zombie apocalypse" game, I'm okay with it not having an in depth story line. Now if they tried to incorporate a story and the game just fell flat, then I'd have a problem.

Is Candy Floss man's greatest achievement?

I've called it candy floss as well as cotton candy. Yeah doesn't matter where you are or how the world is treating you, candy floss sells and makes you feel happy. Just thinking of it makes me happy. Dangit now I want some!

    Anyone enjoying Left 4 Dead?

Odd thing is that I often play with two friends that are a husband and wife team. Killing zombies is always a family and friends affair.

    Anyone enjoying Left 4 Dead?

Yeah, just that I always get stuck on the crappy team that took two steps out of the safe room and got massacred and has the ten year old team killer...
