I had the exact same problem. Last month, I went to unsuspend my account. Unsuspend was inoperative. There was an error but it was unclear worked as the website was still operating. Today I discovered that the website is gone and when I login I get this message.

There's a Problem

Unfortunately we were not able to find your hosting account.
Your account may have been:

Please revive the account and content for me.

Moved to own thread.
The best way to have your problem ignored is to stick it on someone else's thread.

The account was indeed terminated after having been suspended for 21 days, the reason for suspension was inactivity, meaning you had not logged into the portal for at least 31 days prior. The suspension occured in mid may.

So is everything lost? Or is there a way to restore? Neil was seemingly able to restore another user having a similar issue. Please tell me that we can recover somehow...

Some rare exceptions have been made for instances where a suspended account was terminated prematurely during the server migrations (in other words, x10Hosting had inadvertently broken their service terms). It's a manual process that's a tremendous pain in the lower parts (individual accounts are not backed up individually, so the account data needs to be extracted from server-wide backups), and any exceptions to the usual policy that you see should be treated as exceptional. Otherwise, according to the Terms of Service, logging in to the portal once every 30 days (or fewer) is a requirement to comply with the terms, and backups are not provided for users who are suspended/terminated for violation of the ToS.

I get it. I understand that I was warned in the ToS, but I did go to the X10 site to unsuspend my account in May. Silly me for thinking that it worked... Regardless of Terms of Service or who is to blame (I'm certainly to blame for not having an up to date backup), I'm looking for a solution. X10 are you willing to recover for me? What do I need to do? Please help me find a solution.

Dusting off the thread...

Any options? Am I completely toast? I'm willing to pay a fee for recovery. Anna, Neil? I believe Neil was able to recover for someone that had a similar situation.

We made an exception and restored a select number of accounts because they had been terminated prematurely. Please review our Terms of Service below for more information:

6. System Backups
Backups are the sole responsibility of the customer. x10Hosting retains and offers backups to the customer but does not guarantee this service from failure. It is recommended all customers keep their own backups. Backups will not be provided to account holders who have been suspended for breaching the Terms outlined on this page.

7. Inactivity
Accounts found to be inactive are suspended for a 21 day period and then removed from our servers (terminated). All data including any type of backup or stored information is removed with the account. To prevent an account from being suspended for inactivity it is required users visit the x10Hosting Account Portal located at https://x10hosting.com/sso/login/ at least once every 30 days. Accounts must have a working website within 1 week.

Understood. There's a nice and tidy TOS and I apparently screwed up (even though I came to the X10 site to unsuspend). Thanks, I get that. What I am asking for is if there any options? I still haven't heard a firm yes/no to my question. I've heard a response that says that my account was terminated. I've heard responses that point me at the TOS. That sure sounds like a NO, but nobody has directly answered my question. I urge you to look away from the TOS and/or the laminated responses and investigate the options. Apparently, you have the capability to recover if you so choose. Again, I am willing to pay for recovery. If there is an option, what's the price? Feel free to contact me directly through email.

Thanks!
