I thought I already said it, but I'll say it again: United we stand, Divided we fall. While the U.S. is united, it is the strongest country in the world. But if they split up, it becomes the weakest. It's because of the way our government is set up here.

That is a weak insult, I have some knowledge of why you don't like the USA, you saw the US help Kosovo break apart from Serbia...you don't like that. Kosova had a good reason for leaving....I did some reading and have many articles about murders and killings taking place -serbia-against kosovo, or the Albanians in that area.

The US stronger then serbia?...Yes it is, everything says it is...without the US, Canada goes down, Russia goes down, China goes down....HUNDREDS of COUNTRIES GO DOWN econmically...the USA is the worlds biggest spender....meaning the worlds BIGGEST ASSEST, the USA is what leads the economy, in the world along with some other MAJOR Powers in the world.....

Serbia stronger then the US? Nope, in my opinion. Tell me, what country depends on the serbia? for their survival?..I bet some might, I bet many don't. The USA is the way it is, because of it's allies. The USA as strong as it is, because it can control a market. We don't create anything, china does..(china needs us spending money)...we don't do many things...we get Russia to help with some things...(Russia wastes more money with the USA then with any OTHER COUNTRY)....Canada's economy is up and at it with the help of the USA.....what countries need Serbia?..tell me who is stronger the US or Serbia.

Can we please have this thread closed....as we are getting into arguments, and I don't like the posts in here, as it may display a group of people against another group of people, or racism in such way... from myself and others...

Who gave you that idea. I don't hate anybody. I don't have anything again USA. I even have a lot of American friends. If you would feel better I could say:

I don't believe that America will brake apart any time soon. Why? I'll try to explain it from my own experience.

For some state to break apart from the country, there has to be a strong reason. For example:

• People in one state starts, from some reason, to hate the rest of the country. Hate can be based on racialism (in most cases), or some stupid politics (some idiot thinks that he could somehow benefit from it). In most cases this is a starting point of a civil war. I don't see this happen in America right now and I don't think that it will happened any time soon. If you know something that I don't about this happening in America please let me know, let us all be aware of it.
  
• Economy. People in one state think that the country is holding them back. This is mostly a peaceful separation. Example is Montenegro. They thought that Serbia is holding them back in their development so they made a referendum and decided to break apart. It was peaceful with no incidents and they are independent know. This is not possible in America because, as somebody before me said, American states strongly depend on each other.
  
• Crises. It's absurd to believe that breaking apart would make the situation better, quite opposite. The whole country can survive the crises more easily then one state alone. This rule stands for every country in the world not just America.

This is my opinion and I hope it would make you understand that country can't break apart just like that. There have to be a strong reason for that to happen. Now i would like to ask you, is there a reason for America to break apart. I know that this thread is based on prediction of some Russian academic Igor Panarin but I don't believe that's enough. A mean, he predicted the fall of the Soviet Union ... right Do you really believe in that?

Barring the end of the world, not gonna happen, not that quick. Not on my watch or anyone else's who I know. We may be in the worlds greatest debt but the country isnt going to go through a civil war in a year. There is no reason to goto a civil war. To clarify, there is NOBODY who lives here who even thinks about civil war. It couldnt happen that fast, the last one we had took about a 30-40 year buildup before it broke loose. And the country hadnt solidified yet at that point.
A depression? maybe. A war? No wai.

Also, there wont be an invasion either unless there is a WWIII. Just wont happen, America has too many weapons to threaten with. (enough nukes to destroy the surface of the earth a few times over I would imagine)

But one reason that a lot of people give goes like this: They first claim that all the South American calendars from the long extinct nations like the Aztecs, the Mayas, etc. only went up to the year 2012 and then stopped. They then go on to explain that Obama's term will end in 2012 and then he's going to do some terrible thing to end the world. lol

Yes, don't get me wrong, what I was saying was that I do believe America will fall apart. But I'm sure it won't happen within 20 years, and I don't expect it to even happen in our lifetime. But it will happen, sooner or later. All nations have broken up, America isn't exempt. I hope I don't see that day though.

I think the guy who the article says predicted this or that...spent more time finding who would go with whichever other country...I would still go with what he says over yours sorry...but I think a person who wastes days on predicting something like this taking everything in account would have a better chance of predicting something compared to someone that has just read this thread, may or may not have read the entire article and probably basing their answers on what they currently know without further research.
