If you see it spin you are probably in :

  • KSquirrel as of version 0.7.2 (October 3, 2007)
  • XnView as of version 1.92 (December 19, 2007)
  • Opera as of version 9.5 (June 12, 2008)[5]
  • Mozilla Firefox as of version 3 (June 17, 2008)

Not spinning for me... I haven't been bothered to install foxy 3 yet.
Animated PNG's are brilliant though, much better than a GIF!!!!
Is there even 1% chance that Microsoft will put this functionality in the next IE?

I don't think so. It took like 7 versions for IE to support transparent pngs. So maybe it will come in IE 10 or something lol.

Yeah, judging by Microsoft's track record of making use of the latest technologies in their browser, we might see this in IE 10 or 11.

Yet another reason to not use IE! Much higher quality than some crappy GIF :).

I still will use Animated GIFs until another 6 months or so, because firefox users are sour of version3, and perfer version 2 more. I chose v3 cause I wanted to stay along updated. But this is pretty cool!
