Be careful when disagreeing with users postings, if you disagree with a user and you make your opinion known, they may accuse you of flaming.

If they think your disagreement is a flame, they will report you to the site admin and they will issue you an infraction even though they do not think your post is a flame.

This has happened to me and I was told the infraction was issued to me only because the other user contacted the admin.

Just be careful as some users can not take constructive criticism

PS: Don't worry if your feelings get hurt, it seems like people only care about their own feelings.

It's difficult with written communications (as opposed to face to face).

People all too easily get mistakenly offended when no offence was intended.

I usually try to read through my text again before I post, & if I think it could be taken the wrong way, I may re-word it or add a smiley :) or two, in strategic places!

Of course, sometimes I'm annoyed & may actually mean to be (slightly) offensive. In those circumstance, I guess I get what's coming to me!

My advice would be to take it on the chin now, & move on. You can always get your own back & prove the infraction wrong, by continuing with plenty more of your good posts. :)

Are Moderators not supposed to Check and advise on that though. Is it not ultimately up to them to say whether or not is was actual flaming and then (and only then) can a warning be issued?

In my case no warning was issued by the moderator. The situation was ignored by the moderator until the other user pm'ed the moderator and complained about me. Then the moderator issued an infraction against me with no warning and without hearing my side of the story.

You know it doesn't matter, peoples true colors come out all the time.... for me, I just speak my mind... that's all

So how do you know the other user pm'ed the moderator if they didn't tell you?

I'm pretty hard when in comes to site reviews but I newer got any infraction for it (the only one I got is for posting one-line reply in "Crossfire" forum :happysad:).

Anyway I don't understand how people can become offended by some post or reply even though it comes form a total stranger. I don't take thing around here (or any other forum with people I personally don't know) completely serious. People can say whatever they want to me here, I don't care as long as I don't know anything about them I don't take it seriously.

And when it comes to site reviews or any other stuff based on knowledge and experience I let other people decide if my posts worth anything or not. They can decide to follow my suggestions or ignore them and there's nothing wrong with that. If they don't like it or find it offensive I welcome them to say so and I'll stop posting. It's simple as that and no hard feeling whatsoever.

Take it from me....(how is this a argumental thread lol)...

"BUT I HAVE TO ARGuE"...that I would not take anything from anyone online, ...I just ignore them...I can't do squat to anyone online...I can't hack their stupid comp...nor can I trace them to where they live...and beat the daylights out of him, 1 AM in the morning...I can't steal their money, which makes it even more pointless...I can't take a m16 and shoot his brains out!

I can not, swear at him, enough to get him to stop..."annoying me" I can not lay a dam finger on him...which makes this even more pointless...I have no power on the internet, now...if I ever did find a specific person in real life, no matter what he had standing between us, my goal would be accomplished...even if it almost cost me my life...

All I have online, is my respect, and when that being infringed, I will of course beat the literal s$^& out of them!

So yea, I have to argue that I would just ignore the guy pissing the daylights out of us....just until you walk into his home with a knife at 1AM in the morning!

HEHEH...some people really piss me off!

I've seen this happen so many times at so many levels. Text is a harder thing to comprehend when it comes down to emotions of the other user, or feelings/motivations. When I write my posts, even when I'm angry I try not to make it sound harsh if I were to disagree/argue over something. Now, whether or not it sounds harsh to someone on another screen, who knows.

I'll never in a million years give an infraction to someone because they are giving there opinion unless they out right give it in a way that personally attacks an individual. As for your personal issue I've taken it up with the admin and got it reversed. I reviewed it myself and found it to be a mistake as well. No biggie though.

I disagree with this post. ;)
I disagree with one liners. Stop posting them in crossfire or suffer an infraction.

Anyway, I'm closing this thread from any further discussion.
