The best antivirus is Avast Pro!
Zonealarm is more complete protection but it slows down too much
So a anti-spyware get Paretologic Anti-Spyware.

My vote goes to Avast for antivirus and zonealarm for internet security in combination with spybot or ad-adware.
I feel pretty safe with the three running on my windows installation.

On linux also i use avast linux edition but most seem to recommend clam AV.

NOD32 or AVG for an antivirus, and COMODO Firewall Pro (comes with a free lifetime license)
As far as anti-spywares and cleaners, there is a whole cocktail that works for me. HijackThis is the main tool I usel, but it is complemented by F-Secure Blacklight for picking up rootkits, LSPFix for repairing Winsocks 2, and last but not least A-squared (a[2]), for the times when everything else fails.
