don't use one... don't run windows though either...
it depends on what you want it for... most of the bigs one work relatively well as long as you keep your virus definition up to date...

trend micro, symantec, etc should be fine...
for spyware ad-aware I think is by far the best

I use Ad-Aware for spyware
Search and Destroy for other stuff
Avast for boottime scans - it's awesome at that.

I use Avast and I haven't had any issues. It's free, too. All you have to do is re-register it once every 13 months (I think that's the time span). Free is good.

I've been using McAfee & it has been very reliable for me so I'd say McAfee

I had been using Norton and did not face any problem. Then use McAfee. Again touchwood no problem. I understand that AVG is also good and free too.

I personally use clamwin weekly (no resident scan, I'm computer savvy enough to avoid most problems). I have AVG or Avast installed on my girlfriend's computer.

KIS ( Kaspersky Internet Security ) is best one. Very interactive. You find yourself allowing / disallowing / ignore prompt so many times that finally you will be spending more time on anti-virus than working normally. Also the key gets easily blacklisted so no chance to use pirated for long time.

I prefer Norton for non-savvy computer users, as it's methods usually handle everything without nearly any user intervention... AVG free on this comp (backed up w/ zonealarm firewall to keep programs from requesting internet if I do pick something up). My Ubuntu box uses ClamAV

Avast beats all as far as I'm concerned. I don't even use a firewall. That program is amazing!
