Connecting with FTP

When I first joined this hosting service, I had no trouble connecting through Filezilla. However, now it continually tells me it has timed out or been refused by the server. I have uploaded the XML file as suggested but to no avail. Need help desperately before I look elsewhere. Bill Meiers

Hi Bill,

I'm not seeing any issues or recent outages with FTP on xo1. Are these timeout errors causing your upload to fail, or is it just displaying this in the FileZilla console but continuing your upload?

The timeouts are occurring when I'm trying to connect to the server. Don't even get to the uploading stage.

Are you using an active, or passive connection with FTP?

Thanks leafypiggy,you just gave me the clue. I'll give myself a smack in the head for being so stupid. I just replaced my computer and forgot to tell my firewall to allow Filezilla. And thanks also to you Dead-i. Cheers all
