Creationism vs Evolution

It was the egg and it was a dinosaur egg. Birds came later

Anyway, how about evolution through creationism? It's what my fiance believes. He basically agrees with evolution, but with him it's evolution with a twist. He believes evolution was "powered" by God. As in, God was more or less directing it. Sometimes he let nature take its course, other times he interfered and helped nature out.
If I believed in God, that's probably what I'd believe as well. But I don't, so it's just plain evolution for me.

I think that the evidence shows evolution did happen, but it still doesnt mean that god didnt create the universe.
