It is the first - there is no current record. Mozilla is creating one.

There is no date yet, but it won't be long. RC2 has been out for 2 days, so I estimate about 1-2 weeks.

Note: Mozilla are only going to count the number of downloads from their website, they will not count any upgrades done using the FireFox upgrade tool. So make sure that you download the full version.

Well in my opinion Firefox is the best browser out there, and the only reason IE has such a massive userbase is because of the way Microsoft abuse their power in the OS market and force the crappy IE onto everybody. Why on earth they integrated it with Windows so deeply other than to prevent it from being uninstalled I don't know.

Wow the world would be a better place without IE, no more hacking my perfectly valid CSS and XHTML just to make that arsy, useless browser interpret it properly.

Yeah, I know, I feel exactly the same way. My code always works perfectly in Firefox and not IE.
I'll have to admit, IE7 isn't nearly as bad as IE6 though. It would be fine with me if people would stop using that rubbish IE6 and at least download the newer version.
