Hack Threats

Hello, I would like to inform you that someone has made a threat to me, to hack my website, and the rest of x10's servers...

I do know who this person is, as he lives in the same city as me... But in the event if this happens, I have his information incase needed...

He claimed that he has friends who are 'professional hackers', I'm not too sure if that's true or not... But I rather not take any chances...

I, myself do not appreciate the threat, and am ready to take legal action over this...

Please respond to this, with comments or thoughts about this issue, or any other suggestions...

I would report him to the IC3 if he is in the US at http://www.ic3.gov

Usually these are idle threats, however I can assure you that legal action will probably be taken if they do "Hack" x10Hosting.com and the servers there.

As leafypiggy said, threats like this usually amount to nothing.

Just make sure you have a full backup, and any software running on your website is up to date. You'll be fine.

Just have a strong password. x10 has one of the biggest communities around, if anything happens, Im sure action will be taken

I belive the servers got mod_security. But idk if it will help much... If he gonna do url injects etc, you could get PHP IDS http://php-ids.org/
