What do you use?

I just switched from apache to lighttpd and it's so much faster!

I use Cherokee, it is another "lightweight" webserver similar to lighttp.

That'd be a good reason if it weren't for the fact Apache2 is broken. Or at least, horribly “heavy”.

I'm one to speak, though; I'm using Apache2. I'd be using nginx, but I have a few things that rely on Apache2 (or at least, that I can't be bothered to attempt to get working properly in nginx).

Honestly Apache is what I've worked with forever. I've tried other webservers, and even though you may think apache is "heavy." It's really not. It offers what functionality I need.

It was using something like 250-300mb of memory serving the default Apache & CentOS page only. That couldn't just be a misconfiguration surely?

lighttpd if you are using apache god help your resources, lighttpd is much faster and lighter on resources, if you don't belive me switch and then check it!!!!

apaches only using 140mb of ram across 4 instances.

i wanna know how to limit mysql, its using 130 on its own

Any particular reason for staying at 2.0? Just can't be bothered to upgrade?
