Is there an issue with cPanel?

I know this has been asked a few times this past week.

I can't access my account through FTP, cPanel, or even through the link http://trios.x10.mx

A little about exactly what occurred. Running a Wordpress blog Newest version.
In the General settings I mistakenly changed the
FROM:
Site Address (URL) http://trios.x10.mx/wp
TO:
Site Address (URL) http://trios.x10.mx/

as you can imagine site went blank, and could not change it back. Tried to go through cPanel to somehow change the file, could not access it. From what I've read, I have to COPY the index.php & .htaccess files to the new directory. Problem is I can't access anything on the servers thorugh cPanel or FTP. The .htaccess file would only show through FTP since it is a hidden file.

So How do I fix my FTP?

at http://trios.x10.mx/ - I see --> "Error establishing a database connection"

at http://trios.x10.mx/wp - I see --> "What is Solavei?" - and stuff

The .htaccess file would only show through FTP since it is a hidden file.

when you click on [ File Manager ] on cPanel's home page you need to click (check) [ Show Hidden Files (dotfiles) ]
NOTE: if you do not see that in a 'pop-up' - you need to click on [ reset all interface settings ] near bottom of cPanel's home page

as for

If they say 'it is only down for you' - then your ISP has block your x10hosting's IP - OR your ISP-IP is on x10hosting's firewall
note: have been more than a few user's IP - put up on x10hosting's firewall the last few days - (this is not normal)

IF your ISP-IP is on x10hosting's firewall - support staff will need to take it off - you need to give them your ISP-IP so they can check (see above post)

the site url I will have to figure out, for now thanks for showing me how to see the hidden files. It is down, not hacked just stupidity on my part. Redirected the whole site to the root rather than /wp like I had it previously.

Also I am not able to figure out PM on this forum. I figured you had to be friends to do so, Dead-i please let me know how I can get my IP to you w/o publicly posting it.

I have no idea what to tell you. lol I felt facepalm for a sec... I requested him as a friend thought that was why it wasn't showing.

When you are logged in
top of the forum
"Settings" -- click

Left pane
My Settings
--My Account
----General Settings --- click

Private Messaging --- make sure enabled

You need 5 posts in order to use Private Messages, which is why the OP is unable to see it.

As for the actual issue at hand, your IP was indeed blocked by our firewall for failed SSH logins. We do not offer SSH on any of our free hosting services, so do not attempt to login via SSH in the future. I have unblocked the IP so you should be able to access your site again.

I guess it was a firewall issue..now just to see if I can fix my wordpress blog and get it back online.

If you cannot access the wp-admin area,
go to cPanel -> databases -> phpMyAdmin
select your wordpress db
you want to edit the wp_options or options table
find where option_name = site_url and CAREFULLY edit option_value to the new value.
